Fuses are installed in various locations in your vehicle. The following information only lists fuses that you can change yourself. To have other fuses changed, contact an authorized Audi dealer or authorized Audi Service Facility. The following ta· ble does not list fuse locations that are not used. A fuse that has blown will have metal strips that have burned through. The fuses are located in the footwell under the footrest (left-hand drive vehicle) G) or behind the cover (right-hand drive vehicle). Additional fuses are located on the front side of the cockpit (driver’s side)© and under the left cover in the luggage compartment.
- Switch the ignition and all electrical equipment off.
- Check the table that follows to see which fuse belongs to the affected equipment.
- Remove the screwdriver and the reversible Torx bit from the vehicle tool kit.
- Remove the footrest or the corresponding cover.
- Remove the colored plastic clip from the fuse panel, if necessary.
- Remove the clip from the rear side of the cover
- Remove the fuse using the clip.
- Replace the blown fuse only with a fuse that has the same amp rating.
- Reinstall the plastic bracket, if present.
- Reattach the footrest or the cover.

Audi recommends having a bulb replaced by an authorized Audi dealer or authorized Audi Service Facility in cases of doubt. These facilities have the correct tools and replacement parts as well as the required technical knowledge.
LED lights*
Your vehicle is equipped with maintenance-free headlights and tail lights. However, if a light bulb needs to be replaced, please contact an authorized Audi dealer or authorized Audi Service Facility.
WARNING
If you still would like to try replacing the bulbs in your vehicle yourself, read the warnings regarding working in the engine compartment C) .&. in General information on.
NOTE
Make sure the covers are fitted correctly on the headlight and tail light so that no water will leak in from the outside and the light function will not be impaired.
FAQs
A fuse is a safety device that blocks the passage of electrical current when it surpasses a specific level, thereby protecting electrical components or circuits.
The fuse box in a 2023 Audi A4 is usually found in the cabin, either under the dashboard or in the footwell region on the driver’s side.
Locate a removable cover panel on the dashboard or in the footwell by opening the driver’s side door. To gain access to the fuse box, remove the panel.
The Audi A4 employs a mix of blade-type and tiny blade-type fuses that are color-coded to reflect their amperage ratings.
A blown fuse has a damaged filament inside and may appear discolored. To test continuity, you can either use a fuse tester or a multimeter.
To replace a fuse, you usually only need your fingertips. If the fuse is difficult to remove, a set of needle-nose pliers can come in handy.
Using your fingers or needle-nose pliers, gently grasp the blown fuse and pull it straight out. Before replacing the fuse, turn off the ignition.
No, a blown fuse should always be replaced with one of the same amperage rating. Using a higher-amp fuse could result in electrical issues or perhaps a fire.
Keeping spare fuses of various amperage ratings in your car is a smart idea. Fuse kits are available at car parts retailers.
The amperage rating of a fuse specifies the maximum current it can tolerate before blowing. To avoid electrical problems, it is critical to utilize the proper rating.
Fuses do not normally trip like circuit breakers; instead, they blow and must be replaced. Tripping can indicate an underlying electrical problem.
If a fuse continues to blow, it may signal a more serious electrical problem. For assistance, see your vehicle’s owner’s manual or a professional mechanic.
To avoid electrical shock or short circuits, always disconnect the battery or turn off the ignition before replacing fuses.
To ensure safety and optimal performance, use genuine or high-quality fuses that fit the specifications of your car.
If you are unsure, consult a skilled mechanic or take your Audi A4 to a service shop for fuse replacement and electrical diagnostics.
