2024 ACURA TLX Fuses and Fuse Box | Checking and Replacing Fuses
The 2024 Acura TLX has a high-tech electrical system that is meant to make sure it runs smoothly and safely. The fuse box is an important part of this system. It is a central unit that holds different fuses that protect different circuits in the car. To keep things safe, fuses stop electrical overloads that could damage parts or make them less useful. A simple but necessary piece of upkeep for the 2024 Acura TLX is checking and replacing the fuses. The fuse box is usually placed somewhere easy to get to, and each fuse is labeled to show which circuit it works with. Regular checks help owners find and fix any problems quickly, which keeps electrical systems running smoothly. Understanding the 2024 Acura TLX’s fuses and fuse box is important for keeping the car in great shape, whether you’re fixing a problem or doing regular maintenance.

Inspecting and Changing Fuses
- Set the power mode to VEHICLE OFF. Turn headlights and all
accessories off.
- Remove the fuse box cover.
- Check the large fuse in the engine compartment.
- If the fuse is blown, use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screw and replace it with a new one.
- Inspect the small fuses in the engine compartment and the vehicle interior.
- If there is a blown fuse, remove it with the fuse puller and replace it with a new one.
- Check the fuses on the battery in the trunk room.
- If the fuse is blown, have it replaced by a dealer.
NOTICE
Replacing a fuse with one that has a higher rating greatly increases the chances of damaging the electrical system.
Use the charts to locate the fuse in question and confirm the specified amperage on the fuse label.
Fuse Locations
Replace with a fuse of the same specified amperage.
There is a fuse puller on the back of the engine compartment fuse box cover type A.
FAQs
The fuse box in the 2024 Acura TLX is designed to protect electrical components by interrupting the circuit in case of a power surge or malfunction.
The number of fuse boxes can vary, but typically, there is a primary fuse box located in the engine compartment and a secondary one inside the vehicle, often near the driver’s side.
The primary fuse box is usually located in the engine compartment, often near the battery.
The car may use a variety of fuses, including blade-type fuses, mini fuses, or cartridge fuses.
Use a fuse tester or visually inspect the fuse. A blown fuse will have a broken filament inside. In some cases, the fuse may also have a visible burn mark.
A fuse puller or needle-nose pliers for removal, and a fuse tester or a multimeter to check for continuity.
Yes, different fuses protect different circuits and components. The owner’s manual or fuse box cover should have a diagram indicating which fuse corresponds to which component.
No, it’s essential to replace a blown fuse with one of the same amp rating. Using a higher-rated fuse could lead to electrical damage, and a lower-rated fuse might not provide adequate protection.
Usually, the interior fuse box is located near the driver’s side, either under the dashboard or in the side panel. Consult the owner’s manual for the precise location.
Overloading circuits, short circuits, or electrical malfunctions in connected devices can lead to blown fuses.
Some vehicles come with spare fuses. Check the fuse box cover or the owner’s manual to confirm if spares are provided.
It depends on which circuit the blown fuse protects. Critical systems may render the vehicle undrivable, while non-essential systems may still allow you to drive.
While routine checks are not necessary, it’s a good practice to inspect fuses if you are experiencing electrical issues.
If the problem persists, it’s advisable to consult a professional mechanic or contact Acura’s customer support for assistance.
While there’s no strict order, it’s a good idea to turn off the ignition and disconnect the battery before replacing fuses for safety reasons. Additionally, following the owner’s manual instructions is crucial for proper fuse replacement.
