2021 to 2023 Skoda Kodiaq Fuses and Fuse Box | Replacing a Blown Fuse
The 2021–2023. Skoda Kodiaq has a complex web of electrical systems that work together. The fuses and fuse boxes are very important for keeping different parts safe and in sync. The fuse box is where all of these safety devices are controlled. They are put in a way that keeps the vehicle’s different parts working properly and avoids electrical overloads. The fuse box has a simple appearance, but inside it is a complicated system with many fuses, each one connected to a different electrical circuit. As the first line of defence, these breakers stop the flow of electricity when a problem happens. This keeps sensitive parts from getting damaged. If the electrical system isn’t working right or a certain feature isn’t working as it should, drivers may need to check the fuse box and change a badly burned fuse. This easy but necessary step-by-step process makes it possible to quickly restore functionality, making sure that driving the Skoda Kodiaq stays smooth.

Fuses
What you should be mindful of
NOTICE
Fire hazard and risk of damage to the electrical system.
- Do not repair fuses or replace them with stronger fuses.
- Replace the defective fuse with a new fuse with the same amperage.
- We recommend using replacement fuses from the ŠKODA Genuine Accessories range. These guarantee reliable and safe protection of the vehicle’s electric system.
- If a newly inserted fuse blows again, seek the help of a specialist garage.
One fuse may belong to several consumers. One consumer may have several fuses.
Functionality
Fuses protect the vehicle systems from damage caused by excessive current. The fuse blows when the current is exceeded.

FAQs
Fuses in the Skoda Kodiaq protect the vehicle’s electrical components by interrupting the circuit in case of an overload or short circuit to prevent damage.
The fuse box in the Skoda Kodiaq is typically located in the engine compartment or the cabin, depending on the model and trim.
A blown fuse can be identified by a visibly broken or melted wire inside the fuse. In some cases, the metal strip may also be discolored.
Common causes include electrical overloads, short circuits, faulty components, or using accessories that draw too much power.
Yes, the vehicle typically comes with a spare fuse kit. It’s important to check and replace blown fuses with the appropriate amperage rating.
In most cases, the fuse box is accessible by removing a cover in the engine compartment or inside the cabin.
Typically, you only need a fuse puller (often included in the fuse box) or a pair of pliers to safely remove and replace a fuse.
Ensure the ignition is off, and the vehicle is parked. Use the appropriate amperage fuse as specified in the manual to avoid damaging the electrical system.
No, using a higher amperage fuse can lead to electrical system damage or even a fire hazard. Always use the specified amperage.
Fuses are not resettable; once they blow, they need to be replaced. The underlying issue causing the fuse to blow should be addressed.
Modifying the fuse box or adding extra fuses is not recommended, as it can lead to electrical problems and void warranties.
Check with the manufacturer or authorized service centers for any recalls or common issues related to fuses in the specified model years.
