FAQs
The oil pressure warning light signals a possible lubrication problem that needs to be addressed right once to avoid engine damage. It shows that the engine oil pressure is low.
In response, it is advised to check tyre pressure before lengthy excursions and at least once each month.
The vehicle’s ability to maintain traction during braking may be impacted by an issue with the anti lock braking system (ABS), as indicated by the ABS warning light.
In the event that the battery warning light comes on while you’re driving, it may indicate an issue with the charging mechanism. To identify and fix the problem, it’s best to have the car inspected by a trained mechanic.
The answer is that when there is an issue with the engine or emissions system, the malfunction indication light (MIL), sometimes called the check engine light, usually activates on the instrument panel.
The airbag system may not deploy correctly in the case of a collision if the airbag warning light is still on. This suggests a potential defect in the system.
The low washer fluid warning light usually shows a windscreen with water droplets and notifies the driver when the washer fluid reservoir needs to be refilled. On the other hand, the low fuel warning light looks like a fuel pump symbol and signals that the gasoline level is low.
It is imperative to stop safely, turn off the engine, and wait for the engine to cool down if the temperature warning light shines, signalling that the engine is overheating. When an engine overheats, it can be extremely damaging to continue driving.
In reaction to slick roads or evasive manoeuvres, the electronic stability control system (ESC) may be actively trying to stabilise the car if the ESC warning light flashes periodically.
The parking brake warning light lights when the parking brake is applied, whereas the brake system warning light usually signals a problem with the braking system, such as low brake fluid or a faulty brake system component.
The power steering warning light indicates a possible issue with the power steering system that could cause steering difficulties if it illuminates while you are driving. It’s best to pull over safely and have an expert evaluate the car.
In order to notify the driver that the fuel cap might not be securely fastened, the fuel cap warning light usually glows. To fix the problem, make sure the fuel cap is tightened all the way until it clicks.
The glow plug indication light may come on if the vehicle has a diesel engine and is pre-heating before the engine is started. To guarantee correct ignition, don’t start the engine until the light goes out.
