How to fix a blown fuse: ACURA TLX 2019 Fuse Diagrams Guide
When you’re working on your car, a blown switch is a common problem that can stop your car from running smoothly, which is what happened with the 2019 Acura TLX. Fuses are very important parts of a car’s electrical system because they protect different circuits from overheating and damage. If a fuse blows, it stops the flow of electricity, which can damage systems like the engine, power windows, and possibly even the lights. Luckily, you don’t always have to take your car to the mechanic to fix this problem.

Inspecting and Changing Fuses
NOTICE
Replacing a fuse with one that has a higher rating greatly increases the chances of damaging the electrical system.
Replace the fuse with a spare fuse of the same specified amperage.
Confirm the specified amperage using the charts. There is a fuse puller on the back of the engine compartment fuse box cover.
How to replace a fuse ACURA TLX 2019
The process of replacing fuses is pretty easy, but it’s important to be careful. Here is a general outline of how to change fuses:
- Find the Fuse Box:
- Look for the fuse box in your car or house. It’s most often found in the electricity panel of a house or the engine bay of a car.
- Do not use electricity:
- If you need to change a fuse in your home, make sure the main power switch is off for safety reasons. Make sure the key is not in the ignition of your car.
- Find the Blown Fuse:
- Look for the fuse that has a broken wire or a different colour on it. The case of most fuses is clear, so you can see if they are damaged.
- Pick out the right replacement fuse:
- Fuses come in a range of shapes and sizes. Make sure that the new fuse you choose has the same value (amperage) as the old one. Sometimes the amperage value is written on the end caps of the fuse.
- Take out the blown fuse.
- To do this, use a fuse puller tool or needle-nose pliers to carefully pull the fuse out of the fuse box. To avoid getting an electric shock, be careful not to touch any metal parts with your bare hands.
- Put in the new fuse:
- Put the new fuse in the slot from which the old one was taken out. Make sure it fits well.
- Turn On Power:
- If you need to change a breaker in your home, turn on the main power switch again. To test the new switch in a car, turn the key back on.
- Test the Circuit:
- Make sure the circuit is working right. If the switch blows again right away, there may be a problem with the electrical system that needs to be fixed.
- Get Rid of the Old Fuse:
- Get rid of the blown fuse in a safe way. Most of the time, you can throw it away with your regular trash.
- Close the Fuse Box:
- Once you’re sure the new fuse is working, safely close the fuse box cover.
When working with electricity, always follow safety rules, and if you’re not sure about a step, ask a professional electrician or mechanic.
