Fuses are installed in various locations in your vehicle.
The following information only lists fuses that you can change yourself. To have other fuses changed, contact an authorized Audi dealer or authorized Audi Service Facility. The following table does not list fuse locations that are not used. A fuse that has blown will have metal strips that have burned through. The fuses are located on the right side of the front compartment in the front passenger footwell and under the left side of the luggage
compartment.

  • Switch the ignition and all electrical equipment off.
  • Check the table that follows to see which fuse belongs to the affected equipment.
  • Remove the screwdriver from the vehicle tool kit.
  • Remove the appropriate cover.
  • Remove the colored plastic bracket from the fuse panel, if present.
  • Remove the clip from the fuse panel in the front passenger’s footwell.
  • Remove the fuse using the clip.
  • Replace the blown fuse only with a fuse that has the same amp rating.
  • Reinstall the plastic bracket, if present.
  • Install the cover.

Warning
Do not repair fuse and never replace a blown fuse with one that has a higher amp rating. This can cause damage to the electrical system and increases the risk of fire.

Note
If a new fuse burns out again shortly after you have installed it, have the electrical system checked as soon as possible by an authorized
Audi dealer or authorized Audi Service Facility.

How to Replace Fuses of Audi e-tron

Certainly! Here’s a detailed guide on how to replace fuses in your Audi e-tron along with some helpful tips:

  1. Locate the Fuse Box: The fuse box in the Audi e-tron is typically located in the engine bay or under the dashboard on the driver’s side. Look for a panel labeled “Fuse” or “Fuses” to access it.

  2. Turn Off the Vehicle: Before starting, ensure that the vehicle’s ignition is turned off, and remove the key from the ignition switch to prevent electrical mishaps.

  3. Identify the Blown Fuse: Using a flashlight, carefully examine the fuses inside the fuse box. Look for any fuses with a broken wire or a discolored appearance, indicating that they have blown.

  4. Select a Replacement Fuse: Choose a replacement fuse with the same amperage rating as the blown fuse. Using a fuse with a different rating could cause electrical issues or damage to your vehicle.

  5. Remove the Blown Fuse: Use a fuse puller tool if provided, or a pair of needle-nose pliers, to firmly grip the blown fuse. Pull the fuse straight out of its socket, being careful not to damage the fuse box or adjacent fuses.

  6. Insert the Replacement Fuse: Carefully insert the replacement fuse into the empty socket in the fuse box. Ensure it is seated securely and fully inserted to establish proper electrical connection.

  7. Check for Proper Fit: Double-check that the replacement fuse fits snugly into the socket and matches the amperage rating of the blown fuse. It should not be loose or protruding from the socket.

  8. Replace the Fuse Box Cover: Once the blown fuse is replaced, carefully reattach the fuse box cover and ensure it is securely fastened to prevent debris from entering.

  9. Test the Circuit: Turn the ignition key to the accessory position or start the vehicle to test the circuit associated with the replaced fuse. Verify that the electrical component or system is functioning correctly.

  10. Dispose of the Blown Fuse: Dispose of the blown fuse properly. You can keep it as a spare in case of future emergencies or dispose of it according to local regulations for electronic waste.

Helpful Tips:

  • Use caution when handling fuses and ensure that the vehicle’s ignition is turned off to avoid electrical accidents.
  • Keep spare fuses of various amperage ratings in your vehicle’s glove compartment for quick replacements during emergencies.

FAQs

What is the purpose of fuses in the 2023 Audi e-tron?

The 2023 Audi e-tron’s fuses act as safety measures, cutting the circuit when an overload or short circuit happens to shield the electrical components from harm.

What is the purpose of fuses in the 2023 Audi e-tron?

Depending on the model and version, the fuse box of the 2023 Audi e-tron is usually found in the interior cabin or the engine compartment.

How can I identify a blown fuse in my Audi e-tron?

A clearly melted or broken wire inside the fuse is frequently a sign that the fuse has blown. The fuse’s internal metal strip may occasionally become discolored as wellA clearly melted or broken wire inside the fuse is frequently a sign that the fuse has blown. The fuse’s internal metal strip may occasionally become discolored as well

What tools do I need to replace a fuse in the Audi e-tron?

Needle-nose pliers or a fuse puller are typically needed to replace a fuse. Before attempting to replace a fuse, make sure the car is off.

Are there different types of fuses in the 2023 Audi e-tron?

Yes, various fuse types, such as blade-type and mini-blade fuses, may be used in the Audi e-tron.

Can I use a higher amperage fuse to replace a blown one?*

No, using a fuse with a higher amperage rating is not advised as this could jeopardize the electrical system’s safety. Fuse replacement should always be done with the same amperage.

How often should I check the fuses in my Audi e-tron?*

Unless there are electrical problems, routine fuse checks are usually not necessary. If you experience electrical issues, you should check your fuses.

What precautions should I take when replacing fuses in the Audi e-tron?

Use the proper tools, make sure the car is off, and put on safety gear.

Are there spare fuses provided with the Audi e-tron?*

A fuse kit containing extra fuses and a fuse puller might be offered by Audi.

Can I replace a fuse myself, or should I seek professional help?

The owner of the car can usually replace small fuses on their own. However, it’s best to speak with a qualified technician if you’re unsure or if the problem continues.

What should I do if I repeatedly experience fuse failures in my Audi e-tron

Fuse failures on a regular basis could point to an underlying electrical problem. See an authorized Audi service technician for assistance in identifying and resolving the issue.

Can I upgrade the fuses in my Audi e-tron for better performance?

Beyond what the manufacturer recommends, upgrading fuses is not advised as it could jeopardize the vehicle’s safety and warranty. Adhere to the recommended amperage and fuse types.
