If you want a small vehicle or SUV that can go off-road well, the Jeep Renegade is pretty much your only option. The Renegade Trailhawk gets the company’s Trail Rated badge because it has protected skid plates under the body, a lot of ground clearance, and can go through 19 inches of water. In other words, it can do everything that a lot of its competitors look like they can do but can’t. The Renegade is more expensive than most of its rivals, like the Trailhawk, which starts at over $33,000. This is because it has more features than most of its competitors. Every Renegade, no matter what trim level it is, is powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with just 1.3 litres of size. Its speed will never make your neck muscles hurt. It will get you to the shops or down the trails, and it does get a decent amount of miles per gallon. But if you don’t often drive on muddy, rocky roads that are less visited, you might want to look into cheaper mini-SUV options.

What’s Changed For 2023?

The most important change for 2023 is that the Renegade will no longer have front-wheel drive. Instead, all 2023 models will have all-wheel drive. Also, the Sport trim level is being taken out of the range, so the Latitude is now the base model. The rest of the changes involve changes to the equipment sets. A Premium Group package is now available for Latitude models. It comes with a power driver’s seat, a heated steering wheel and front seats, roof rails, a windshield wiper de-icer, and fog lights that turn when the car turns. The new Upland Special Edition model costs only $595 more than the base Latitude. It has a more rugged look on the outside, special 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, and a digital gauge display that is 7.0 inches wide. The High Altitude package comes with Granite Crystal 19-inch wheels, black logos, and neutral grey grille rings. There is also a new Limited Elite Group package that comes with LED lighting, parking sensors, and a windshield wiper de-icer. The Trailhawk also gets the Trailhawk Elite Group package and the Premium Lighting Group package. The Trailhawk Elite Group package has heated leather seats, a power driver’s seat, a heated steering wheel, and a windshield wiper de-icer. The Premium Lighting Group package has the same LED lighting elements as the Limited Elite Group. Exterior paint choices now include Detonator Yellow and Solar Yellow.
