2023 – 2024 Lexus IS Specs, Price, Features, Mileage and Review
In addition to wearing the spindle grille of Lexus better than most of its stablemates, the 2023 IS is also more attractive than most of the other vehicles in the compact sports-sedan category. Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite perform at the same level as vehicles like the Audi A4, BMW 3-series, and Genesis G70. Even the top-of-the-line IS500, with its finest suspension and range-topping V-8 engine, falls short of the gratifying handling and performance we’d like to see in a sports sedan. The base IS300’s turbo-four feels underpowered, but even while the middle-of-the-road IS350’s V-6 isn’t very speedy by sports-sedan standards, it is more refined. With a smooth and easy-going ride, the IS does a better job simulating Lexus’s other luxury vehicles designed for comfort. The cabin is also attractively constructed with high-quality materials and many conveniences. So perhaps the IS is the sedan for those looking for a vehicle that has a dynamic outside but a relaxed inside. The IS300 has a 241-hp turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder, the IS350 has a 311-hp V-6, and the IS500 F Sport Performance edition currently has a 472-hp V-8.
What has changed for 2023?
New wheel styles for the IS350 F Sport and IS500 F Sport models are available for 2023, with the latter having 19-inch Enkei rollers. Molten Pearl exterior paint, black faux leather inside upholstery, and exclusive BBS forged alloy wheels are all part of the special look package for the IS500 F Sport Performance Premium variant; just 150 will be made. A new exterior option is also available for the IS350 F Sport, but instead of the Molten Pearl shade, Lexus went with Incognito exterior paint and an Obsidian-colored hood. Only 480 of these will be made available.
