2023 – 2024 Mazda 3
The 2023 Mazda 3 aims to compete with more expensive vehicles yet being priced similarly to other compacts, and in many respects, it succeeds. Both the sedan and hatchback versions of the 3 are stylish and sporty vehicles. There are two four-cylinder engines available, one of which is a potent turbo, and you can even opt for all-wheel drive, although doing so means forgoing the superb six-speed manual. The Mazda 3 is designed for buyers who appreciate a satisfying driving experience and prefer superior interior materials in their little car. Other compact cars like the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Volkswagen Jetta might seem more practical or have greater name recognition. For 2023, Mazda will no longer offer the 2.0-litre four-cylinder as the 3’s base engine; instead, the 2.5-litre four-cylinder that was previously available as an upgrade will instead produce 191 horsepower. The 2.5-litre four-cylinder now has cylinder deactivation, which increases its fuel efficiency to 28 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway, according to EPA calculations. An all-wheel drive is now an option on the midrange Carbon Edition variant. All grades now come standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
