2023 Mazda6
The Mazda 6 has always been a pleasant car to drive, even though the suspension has a firmer edge. This is made worse if you choose one of the higher-end variants with 19-inch wheels and low-profile tires. It’s just a little busy, never awkward or unpleasant. The wagon’s shorter wheelbase does slightly affect how comfortable the ride is, but only a little. Other than that, the vehicle handles on the road as we’ve come to expect from Mazda goods of this period, with a fairly enthusiastic driving style, decent steering that delivers a good degree of feel, and steering wheel kickback on mid-corner bumps. It’s still a wonderful car to drive, but considering how far automotive dynamics have come since the early 20-teens, it may start to feel a little less spectacular than it did then. Nowadays, there are some SUVs with slightly better driving abilities than the 6, but not with the same level of low-slung sportiness.
