Even though the final four- and six-cylinder models we tested only had average acceleration, on the road, they never felt weak. The Atlas isn’t as entertaining to pilot as Mazda’s CX-9, but it follows you every turn without showing any signs of awkwardness. It’s calm on the highway and quick around town. The ride is comfortable, with only the hardest bumps being absorbed.
