A plug-in hybrid Prius model is the 2024 Toyota Prius Prime. It featured two electric motors and a four-cylinder gas engine that put out 220 horsepower. Before converting to hybrid vehicle (HV) mode, it can travel up to 44 miles on electricity, according to EPA estimates. Until the battery is recharged, Prius Prime stays in high voltage mode. The 2024 Prius Prime is not only notably faster than its predecessor, but it also draws 19 additional miles of electric-only driving range from its battery. Toyota gave the Prius the freedom to prioritize features other than efficiency with the most recent Prime model, transforming the plug-in hybrid into a fashionable statement car with reasonable performance.
