For 2024, the X1 portfolio will include the spirited M35i xDrive model, which comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 312 horsepower, an adaptive suspension system, and high-performance brakes. The M35i comes standard with unique 19-inch wheels and all-season tyres, but 20-inch wheels with summer tyres are an option. With its redesigned grille design featuring wider air inlets, quad tailpipes, and black exterior trim, the M35i has a sportier appearance on the outside. Faux-suede interior trim, sport front seats, and an M-badged steering wheel are all found within. The Label will retail for a significant amount more than the base model, although pricing information should be released shortly before the Label leaves the factory in late 2023.

There are two engine options: the M240i has a turbocharged inline-six engine that produces 382 horsepower, while the 230i has a turbocharged inline-four engine that shares power with the Toyota Supra 2.0. The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder 230i produces 255 horsepower, while the 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six M240i has 382-hp. Both the 230i and M240i come with rear- and all-wheel drive options. There is just an eight-speed automatic available for transmission. The 230i completed a quarter-mile at 101 mph in 13.7 seconds and 60 mph in 5.1 seconds during our test.

The typical M3 weighs around 75 pounds less when made using lightweight materials. It will launch quickly thanks to its eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive system.
