The Silverado EV, a brand-new vehicle for 2024, will go on sale to consumers in 2023 as part of the Chevrolet lineup. Trims targeted at consumers will come after the fleet-specific 4WT Work Truck.
Although it made a big splash at the 2022 CES, the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV won’t be available in stores until late 2023. The all-electric Silverado is Chevy’s response to the Ford F-150 Lightning and several upcoming EV pickups, but it isn’t quite its rival from Ford. It is built on the same platform as GMC’s Hummer EV Pickup.
Though it has the same name as Chevrolet’s wildly popular combustion-engine pickups, the Silverado EV is conceptually more similar to the Chevrolet Avalanche from the 2000s. The vehicle combined the integrated cargo bed, which could be extended by lowering a divider behind the rear seats, with the four-door cabin of the company’s SUV, Suburban. While providing even more space and versatility, the Silverado EV operates in the same manner. With the divider lowered, the truck can hold objects longer than nine feet. It now has a 60/40 split.

Although the sixth generation of Camaro, which has been burning rubber since the 2016 model year, will be honoured with a unique Collector’s Edition, this does not mean the end of the car.
