  2. Move the steering wheel up or down.
  3. Pull or push the steering wheel closer or away from you.
  4. Pull the lever up to lock the steering wheel in place.

Power Tilt and Telescoping Wheel
If equipped, the control is on the left side of the steering column.

  • Push the control up or down to tilt the steering wheel up or down.
  • Push the control forward or rearward to move the steering wheel toward the front or rear of the vehicle.
Do not adjust the steering wheel while driving.
To set the power tilt wheel memory position, see Memory Seats 0 62.

Steering Wheel Controls
The infotainment system can be operated by using the steering wheel controls. See “Steering Wheel
Controls” in the infotainment manual

Heated Steering Wheel
If equipped, press to turn the heated steering wheel on or off. An indicator light next to the button displays when the feature is turned on.
The steering wheel takes about three minutes to be fully heated.

Auto Heated Steering Wheel
When enabled in vehicle personalization, this feature will automatically activate the heated steering wheel and heated seats,
if equipped, at the level required by the interior temperature. The auto-heated steering wheel can be turned off by using the heated steering wheel control button. See Heated and Ventilated Front Seats 0 64

Remote Start Heated Steering Wheel
During a remote start, the heated steering wheel and heated seats,
if equipped, can be turned on automatically. When it is cold outside, the heated steering wheel turns on. The heated steering wheel is canceled when the ignition is turned on. Press the heated steering wheel control button to enable use after the vehicle is started. The heated steering wheel indicator light may not turn on during a remote start. See Remote Vehicle Start 0 37

Wiper Parking
If the ignition is turned off while the wipers are on LO, HI, or INT, they will immediately stop.
If the windshield wiper lever is then moved to OFF before the driver door is opened or within 10 minutes, the wipers will restart and move to the base of the windshield.
If the ignition is turned off while the wipers are performing wipes due to windshield washing or Rainsense wipes, the wipers continue to run until they reach the base of the windshield.

Rainsense
If equipped, there is a sensor near the top center of the windshield detects the amount of water on the windshield and controls the frequency of the windshield wiper. To turn this feature on or off, see “Rain Sense Wipers” under Vehicle Personalization 0 144.
Keep this area of the windshield clear of debris to allow for best system performance.

  • Turn the band up for more sensitivity to moisture.
  • Turn the band down for less sensitivity to moisture.
  • Move the windshield wiper lever out of the INT position to deactivate Rainsense.

Wiper Arm Assembly Protection
If equipped with wiper arm assembly protection, when using an automatic car wash, move the windshield wiper lever to OFF. This disables the automatic Rainsense windshield wipers.
With Rainsense, if the transmission is in N (Neutral) and the vehicle speed is very slow, the wipers will automatically stop at the base of the windshield.
The wiper operations return to normal when the transmission is no longer in N (Neutral) or the vehicle speed has increased.

Wiper-Activated Headlamps
This feature activates the headlamps and parking lamps after the windshield wipers have been in use for a while. The transition time for the lamps coming on varies based on the wiper speed. For this feature to work, the exterior lamp control must be in AUTO.
The wiper-activated headlamps immediately turn off when the ignition is turned to off, or the windshield wiper control is turned off.

Rear Camera Mirror Washer
If equipped, push the windshield wiper lever forward to spray washer fluid on the Rear Camera Mirror. The lever returns to its starting position when released. See Rear Camera Mirror 0 48.

Compass
The vehicle may have a compass display on the Driver Information Center (DIC). The compass receives its heading and other information from the Global Positioning System (GPS) antenna, StabiliTrak, and vehicle speed information.
The compass system is designed to operate for a certain number of miles or degrees of turn before needing a signal from the GPS satellites. When the compass display shows CAL, drive the vehicle for a short distance in an open area where it can receive a GPS signal. The compass system will automatically determine when a GPS signal is restored and provide a heading again.

Clock
The time and date for the clock can be set using the infotainment system. See
“Time/Date” in “System“under “Settings” in the infotainment manual.

Power Outlets
Accessory power outlets can be used to plug in electrical equipment, such as a cell phone or MP3 player.
The vehicle has three 12-volt accessory power outlets:

  • Inside the center console storage in front of the armrest cover.
  • Inside the storage area under the armrest cover.
  • Inside the storage area on the rear of the center console, if equipped.
These outlets are powered while the vehicle is on or in ACC/ACCESSORY mode, or until the driver door is opened within 10 minutes of turning off the vehicle.

Lift the cover to access the accessory power outlet. Certain electrical accessories may not be compatible with the accessory power outlet and could overload a vehicle circuit breaker or adapter fuse.
If overloaded, the circuit breaker will reset after all devices are disconnected or if Retained Accessory Power (RAP) is turned off and then back on. See Retained Accessory Power (RAP) 0 197. Wait one minute to allow the circuit breaker to reset before reconnecting devices or turning RAP back on. If the problem continues, the issue could be within your device. Try another known good device to make sure the circuit breaker is operating properly. If this does not resolve your problem, see your dealer.
It is possible to replace the factory power outlet with a cigar lighter receptacle if desired. This requires the factory-installed circuit breaker to be replaced with a standard mini fuse by the dealer. A mini fuse will not reset and will have to be replaced if blown.

Caution
Failure to replace the circuit breaker with the mini fuse could overheat the cigar lighter and damage the vehicle.
Adding any electrical equipment to the vehicle may damage it or keep other components from working as they should. The repairs would not be covered by the vehicle warranty. Do not use equipment exceeding the maximum amperage rating of 15 amperes. Check with your dealer before adding electrical equipment.
Hanging heavy equipment from the power outlet can cause damage not covered by the vehicle warranty. The power outlets are designed for accessory power plugs only, such as cell phone charge cords.

Power Outlet 110/120 Volt  Alternating Current

If equipped, this power outlet is inside the center console. It can be used to plug in electrical equipment that uses a maximum limit of 150 watts. An indicator light on the outlet turns
on to show it is in use. The light comes on when the ignition is on, equipment requiring less than 150 watts is plugged into the outlet, and no system fault is detected.
The indicator light does not come on when the ignition is off or if the equipment is not fully seated into the outlet.
If equipment is connected using more than 150 watts or a system fault is detected, a protection circuit shuts off the power supply and the indicator light turns off. To reset the circuit,
unplug the item and plug it back in or turn the Retained Accessory Power (RAP) off and then back on. See Retained Accessory Power (RAP) 0 197.
The power restarts when equipment using 150 watts or less is plugged into the outlet and a system fault is not detected.
The power outlet is not designed for the following and may not work properly, if this equipment is plugged in:

  • Equipment with high initial peak wattage such as:
compressor-driven refrigerators and electric power tools
  • Other equipment requiring an extremely stable power supply such as: microcomputer-controlled electric blankets, touch sensor lamps, etc.
  • Medical equipment.

Wireless Charging
The vehicle may have wireless charging in the storage behind the climate control system. See Instrument
Panel Storage 0 106. The system operates at 145 kHz and wirelessly charges one PMA or Qi-compatible mobile device. The power output of the system is capable of charging at a rate up to 1 amp (5W), as requested by the compatible mobile device. See
Radio Frequency Statement 0 367.
To check for phone or other device compatibility:

  • In the U.S., see my.cadillac.com/ learn.
  • In Canada, see gmtotalconnect.ca.
  • Or, see your dealer for details.

Warning
Wireless charging can affect the operation of an implanted pacemaker or other medical devices. If you have one, it is recommended to consult with your doctor before using the wireless charging system.
The vehicle must be on, in ACC/ ACCESSORY, or Retained Accessory Power (RAP) must be active. The wireless charging feature may not
correctly indicate charging when the vehicle is in RAP. See Retained Accessory Power (RAP) 0 197.
The operating temperature is −20 °C (−4 °F) to 60 °C (140 °F) for the charging system and 0 °C (32 °F) to 35 °C (95 °F) for the phone.

Warning
Remove all objects from the charging pad before charging your mobile device. Objects, such as coins, keys, rings, paper clips,
or cards, between the phone and charging pad will become very hot. On the rare occasion that the charging system does not detect an object, and the object gets wedged between the phone and charger, remove the phone and allow the object to cool before removing it from the charging pad, to prevent burns.
