Car Dash Cam PRECAUTIONS

An SD card up to 32GB Class 10 or above speed is required for your new AutoSky Dashcam. Micro SD card specification varies from one brand to another and it may not function as expected.
Please insert the micro SD card in the right direction to avoid damage to the card or to your new AutoSky Dashcam. If your dashcam shows an error message, please format the micro SD card from the dashcam’s menu. If the error continues please reset your dashcam or replace the micro SD card. We recommend you format your micro SD card every month for recording stability.
Note: All files will be deleted when formatting the micro SD card. Please backup the important files before formatting. When the reset function is selected, the settings will be returned to the default setting.
When installing your new AutoSky Dashcam make sure it is firmly attached to the windshield for recording stability and to avoid any damage.
The battery life span will continuously decrease upon usage. Please charge the battery every month to preserve the battery life.
Do not use your AutoSky Dashcam in a dusty or wet environment as the mirror monitor is not waterproof.
To obtain clear images, please clean the windshield and cameras of your dashcam regularly, and do not record or take pictures in direct sunlight or in a high dust or electromagnetic environment.
The operating temperature of your dashcam is l4° F to 149° F {-l0°C to 65°C). Continuous exposure to sunlight, especially when the dashcam is mounted in a vehicle where the temperature exceeds 158° F, may cause malfunction, screen change colours or image distortion. Incorrect operation could lead to a system crash. Please use a small hard pin to press RESET to restart your AutoSky Dashcam.

  1. Make sure to clean your windshield from dust particles and any evaporated grease from the dashboard surface.
  2. Attach your AutoSky Dashcam’s suction cup mount. Set the camera lens to point forward to the centre when installing it.
Note: Make sure that any window tint or any other objects do not obstruct the camera’s view. If your vehicle has side curtain airbags please be very careful when running any cables along your vehicle windows. Ensure you are not running cable past any of the airbags as this can prevent the airbags from deploying.
  3. Fix the Suction Cup Mount: peel off the film on the rubber & hold it tight towards the windshield to remove any air between the suction cup and the windshield.
  4. Rearview camera installation: screw your rearview camera above your car’s license plate, plug the rearview camera into your dashcam’s AV port, and the red reverse cable should be connected to your vehicle’s reverse tail light.
  5. Use the car charger to connect the mini USB power port of the camera to the car’s cigarette lighter socket.
  6. Start the engine and verify that your dashcam works properly.
