To adjust the steering wheel:

  1. Pull the lever down.
  2. Move the steering wheel up or down.
  3. Pull or push the steering wheel closer or away from you.
  4. Pull the lever up to lock the steering wheel in place.

Do not adjust the Chevy bolt steering wheel controls while driving.

If equipped, press to turn on or off. An indicator light on the button displays when the feature is turned on. The chevy bolt steering wheel controls takes about three minutes to start heating. If equipped with a remote start heated steering wheel, the heated steering wheel may turn on automatically in remote start along with the heated seats when it is cold outside. The heated steering wheel indicator light may not come on. See Heated and Ventilated Front Seats.

Horn

Press a on the steering wheel pad to sound the horn.

 Pedestrian Safety Signal

The vehicle is equipped with automatic sound generation. The automatic sound is generated to indicate the vehicle’s presence to pedestrians.

United States

The sound changes if the vehicle is speeding up or slowing down. It is activated when the vehicle is shifted into a forward gear or R (Reverse), up to 33 km/h (20 mph).

Canada
The sound changes if the vehicle is speeding up or slowing down. It is activated when the vehicle is shifted into a forward gear or R (Reverse), up to 23 km/h (14 mph).

The windshield wiper/washer lever is on the side of the steering column. With the vehicle on, move the windshield wiper lever to select the wiper speed.

HI : Use for fast wipes.

Windshield Wiper/Washer with Intermittent Wipes

INT : If equipped with intermittent wipes, move the windshield wiper lever to INT.

Windshield Wiper/Washer with Rainsense

AUTO : If equipped with Rainsense, move the windshield wiper lever to AUTO and turn the band to adjust the sensitivity to moisture. See “Rainsense” later in this section.

OFF : Use to turn the wipers off.

1X : For a single wipe, briefly move the lever down. For multiple wipes, hold the lever down.
Clear snow and ice from the wiper blades and windshield before using them. If frozen to the windshield, carefully loosen or thaw
them. Damaged blades should be replaced. See Wiper Blade Replacement.

Heavy snow or ice can overload the wiper motor. If the wiper motor overheats, the windshield wipers will stop until the motor cools and the wiper control is turned off. See Electrical System Overload.

Warning
In freezing weather, do not use the washer until the windshield is warmed. Otherwise, the washer fluid can form ice on the windshield, blocking your vision.

Warning
Before driving the vehicle, always clear snow and ice from the hood, windshield, washer nozzles, roof, and rear of the vehicle, including all lamps and windows. Reduced visibility from snow and ice buildup could lead to a crash.

Wiper Parking
If the vehicle Is turned off while the wipers are on LO, HI, or INT, they will immediately stop. If the windshield wiper lever is then moved to OFF before the driver door is opened or within 10 minutes, the wipers will restart and move to the base of the windshield. If the vehicle is turned off while the wipers are performing wipes due to windshield washing, the wipers continue to run until they reach the base of the windshield.

The wipers will continue until the lever is released or the maximum wash time is reached. When the lever is released, additional wipes may occur depending on how long the windshield washer had been activated. See Washer Fluid for information on filling the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

Rainsense
If equipped with Rainsense, a sensor near the top center of the windshield detects the amount of water on the windshield and controls the frequency of the windshield wiper. To turn the Rainsense feature on or off, select Settings > Vehicle > Comfort and Convenience > Rainsense Wipers > Select ON or OFF.Chevrolet Bolt EUV 2023 Controls User Guide 06 When enabled, move the windshield wiper lever to AUTO.

Turn the band on the wiper lever to adjust the sensitivity.

  •  Turn the band up for more sensitivity to moisture.
  • Turn the band down for less sensitivity to moisture.
  • Move the windshield wiper lever out of the AUTO position to deactivate Rainsense.

The controls are on the end of the windshield wiper lever.

Move the control to:

ON : To turn on.

OFF : To turn off.

If equipped with the rear camera mirror, the washer fluid is sprayed on the rear camera at the same time. The lever returns to its starting position when released.

Warning
In freezing weather, do not use the washer until the windshield is warmed. Otherwise, the washer fluid can form ice on the windshield, blocking your vision.

Auto Wipe in Reverse Gear

If the rear wiper control is off, the rear wiper will automatically operate continuously when the vehicle is in R (Reverse), and the front windshield wiper is performing low or high-speed wipes. If the rear wiper control is off, the vehicle is in R (Reverse), and the front windshield wiper is performing intermittent wipes, then the rear wiper automatically performs intermittent wipes. This feature can be turned on or off. Go to Settings > Vehicle > Comfort and Convenience > Auto Wipe in Reverse Gear > Select ON or OFF. The windshield washer reservoir is used for the windshield and the rear window. Check the fluid level in the reservoir if either washer is not working.

Rear Wiper Arm Assembly Protection

Wiper operation returns to normal when the shift switch is no longer in N (Neutral) or the vehicle speed increases. The rear wiper will also stop when the liftgate is open. When using an automatic car wash, move the rear wiper control to OFF to disable the rear wiper. If the shift switch is in N (Neutral) and the vehicle speed is very slow, the rear wiper will automatically stop at the base of the rear window.

FAQs

How do I unlock and start the Bolt EUV without using the key?
The Bolt EUV may be equipped with Passive Entry and Passive Start. To unlock the doors, simply press the button on the door handle with the key fob nearby. To start the vehicle, press the brake pedal and push the power button.
