2022 Fiat Panda Lightnings Instructions

EXTERIOR LIGHTS
The left stalk fig. 20 controls the operation of the headlights, side lights, dipped beam headlights, parking lights, main beam headlights, direction indicators, and “Follow me home” device.
The exterior lights can only be switched on when the ignition key is at MAR. The instrument panel and the various dashboard controls will come on with the external lights.
SIDE LIGHTS / DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS (DRL)
“Daytime Running Lights”
(for versions/markets, where provided)
With the ignition key turned to MAR and ring nut (A) fig. 20 turned to position the daytime running lights are automatically activated; the other lights and interior lighting remain off.
SIDE LIGHTS / DIPPED BEAM HEADLIGHTS
With the ignition key turned to MAR, turn the ring (A) fig. 20 to
If dipped beam headlights are activated, the daytime running lights switch off and the side lights and dipped headlights switch on. The warning light switches on in the instrument panel.
PARKING LIGHTS
The side lights, license plate lights and parking lights can only be switched on with ignition key at STOP or removed, by moving ring nut (A) fig. 20 first to position 
and then to position
.
The 
warning light switches on in the instrument panel.
To switch off the parking lights, turn the ring (A) from the position to the position . Warning light switches off in the instrument panel.
MAIN BEAM HEADLIGHTS
To activate the main beam headlights, with the ring (A) fig. 20 in position and the ignition device in the MAR position
pull the stalk towards the steering wheel beyond the end of travel click. The warning light switches on in the instrument panel. When the stalk is pulled towards the steering wheel again, beyond the end of travel position, the main beam headlights deactivate, the dipped headlights reactivate and the warning light switches off.
FLASHING THE HEADLIGHTS
To do this, pull the stalk towards the steering wheel (unstable position), regardless of the position of ring nut (A) fig. 20. The warning light switches on in the instrument panel.
DIRECTION INDICATORS
Bring the stalk to the (stable) position:
Upwards: activates the right direction indicator;
Downwards: activates the left direction indicator. Warning light or will blink on the instrument panel. The direction indicators switch off automatically when the steering wheel is straightened.
“Lane Change” function
If you wish to signal a lane change, place the left stalk in the unstable position for less than half a second. The direction indicator on the side selected will be activated for 5 flashes and then go out automatically.
“FOLLOW ME HOME” DEVICE
This allows the space in front of the vehicle to be lit for a set time.
Activation: with the ignition key at STOP or removed, pull the stalk towards the steering wheel within 2 minutes from when the engine is turned off.
Each time the stalk is moved, the lights stay on for an extra 30 seconds up to a maximum of 210 seconds; then the lights are switched off automatically.
Each time the stalk is operated, the warning light on the instrument panel switches on and the display also shows a message and how long the function will remain active.
The warning light comes on when the stalk is first moved and stays on until the function is automatically deactivated. Each time the stalk is activated it increases the time that the lights remain on.
Deactivation: keep the stalk pulled towards the steering wheel for more than two seconds.
REAR FOG LIGHTS
To switch on the rear fog lights, press the button with the ignition device in the MAR position.
The rear fog lights can only be switched on when the dipped beam headlights are on.
With rear fog lights on, the warning light on the instrument panel will come on at the same time. To switch off the rear fog lights, press the button , switch off the dipped beam headlights or turn the ignition device to the STOP position.
FOG LIGHTS / REAR FOG LIGHTS
(for versions/markets, where provided) The fog lights can be activated only when the dipped beam headlights are on.
To switch on the rear/front fog lights, press the button (A) fig. 21 with the ignition device in the MAR position as follows:
First pressing: front fog lights on;
second press: rear fog lights on;
third pressing: front/rear fog lights off.
With front fog lights on, the warning light on the instrument panel will come on at the same time.
With rear fog lights on, the warning light on the instrument panel will come on at the same time.
To switch off the front/rear fog lights, switch off the dipped beam headlights or turn the ignition device to the STOP position.
WARNING
- The daytime running lights are an alternative to the dipped beam headlights for driving during the daytime in countries where it is compulsory to have lights on during the day, and they are also permitted in those countries where this is not obligatory.
- Daytime running lights cannot replace dipped beam headlights when driving at night or through tunnels. The use of daytime running lights is governed by the Highway Code of the country in which you are driving. Comply with legal requirements.
INTERIOR LIGHTS
FRONT CEILING LIGHT
Singe-bulb roof light
The lens of ceiling light (A) fig. 22 can be set to three positions: right side pressed: light always on; left side pressed: light always off; central position: the light switches on/off when the doors are opened/closed.
Multi-bulb roof light
(for versions/markets, where provided) Switch (A) fig. 23 is used to switch on/off the ceiling light bulbs. Switch positions (A):
central position (position 1): lights (C) and (D) switch on/ off when the doors are opened/closed; pressed to the left (position 0): lights (C) and (D) are always switched off;
- Pressed to the left (position 2): lights (C) and (D) are always switched on.
The lights switch on/off gradually. Switch positions (B) fig. 23: - Central position (position 1): lights (C) and (D) are always switched off;
- Pressed to the left (position 0): light (C) switches on;
pressed to the right (position 2): light (D) switches on.
WARNING
Before getting out of the car, make sure that both switches are in the central position: when the doors are closed the lights will switch off to avoid draining the conventional battery.
In any case, if the switch is left in the on position, the roof light switches off automatically about 15 minutes after the engine has been switched off.
ROOF LIGHT TIMING
On certain versions, to facilitate getting in/out of the vehicle at night or in poorly-lit areas, two timed modes have been provided.

REAR CEILING LIGHT WITH REMOVABLE TORCH
(for versions/markets, where provided)
The removable ceiling light: it can only be switched on/off manually by pressing switch (A) fig. 24, with the ignition key in the MAR position.
- Switch (A) can assume three different positions:
- With the switch in the middle, the light is always off.
- Switch pushed up (position (1)), light is always on;
- Switch pushed down (position (2) –
AUTO OFF), light is always off.
