Honda Civic Sedan 2023 Security System

With the keys to the 2023 Honda Civic Sedan, you can step into a world of easy interaction and more ease. These keys are much more than just simple mechanical tools. They represent modern innovation and give you access to a world of options. The Civic Sedan’s keys are the key to your driving experience. They come in the form of both standard physical keys and high-tech electronic key fobs. The physical key, which has been around for a long time, turns the engine and is the physical link between the driver and the machine. The electronic key fob, on the other hand, goes beyond standard keys because it lets you open locks, trunks, and even start the engine from a distance. With a keyless starting, you can start your trip as soon as the key fob is inside the car. But the keys do more than just work; they are also made to keep you safe. The Civic Sedan’s keys are at the forefront of both convenience and safety, with features like keyless entry and the ability to lock and open doors remotely. Every time you use one of these modern tools, it reminds you of how the 2023 Honda Civic Sedan’s driving experience is a mix of technology and style.

  • Do not allow objects that emit strong radio waves near the ENGINE START/STOP button.
  • Make sure the key is not covered by or touching a metal object.
  • Do not bring a key from another vehicle’s immobilizer system near the ENGINE START/STOP button.

Always take the key with you whenever you leave the vehicle unattended.
Do not alter the system or add other devices to it. Doing so may damage the system and make your vehicle inoperable.

Security System Alarm

The security system alarm activates when the trunk, hood or doors are forcibly opened. The alarm does not activate if the trunk or doors are opened with the key, remote transmitter or keyless access system*.

Unlock the vehicle using the key, remote transmitter or keyless access system*, or power mode is in ON. The system, along with the horn and flashing lights, is deactivated.

The security system alarm automatically sets when the following conditions have been met:
    • The power mode is set to VEHICLE OFF.
    • The hood is closed.

  • When the security system alarm sets
The security system alarm indicator in the instrument panel blinks and the blinking interval changes after about 15 seconds.
  • To cancel the security system alarm
The security system alarm is canceled when the vehicle is unlocked using the remote transmitter or keyless access system*, or when the power mode is set to ON. The security system alarm indicator goes off at the same time.
