2019 Hyundai Veloster Relay | Replacing Fuse Diagrams Guide
The 2019 Hyundai Veloster stands out as a symbol of sleek design and quick performance in the complicated world of car engines. In addition to its attractive exterior, this small car has a complex electrical system that uses a network of switches and fuses to power important parts. These switches and fuses are very important for keeping the Veloster reliable and running well. They do a lot of things, like making sure the lights work right and making sure the electronics work right. Veloster owners need to know how to read the relay and fuse designs. This will help them quickly figure out and fix electrical problems, which will keep their driving experience safe for miles to come.

Fuses
A vehicle’s electrical system is protected from electrical overload damage by fuses. This vehicle has 2 (or 3) fuse panels, one located in the driver’s side panel bolster, and the other in the engine compartment near the battery. If any of your vehicle’s lights, accessories, or controls do not work, check the appropriate circuit fuse. If a fuse has blown, the element inside the fuse will be melted or broken. If the electrical system does not work, first check the driver’s side fuse panel. Before replacing a blown fuse, turn the engine and all switches off, and then disconnect the negative battery cable. Always replace a blown fuse with one of the same rating. If the replacement fuse blows, this indicates an electrical problem. Avoid using the system involved and immediately consult an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
WARNING
NEVER replace a fuse with anything but another fuse of the same rating.
- A higher capacity fuse could cause damage and possibly cause a fire.
- Do not install a wire or aluminum foil instead of the proper fuse – even as a temporary repair. It may cause extensive wiring damage and possibly a fire.
NOTICE
Do not use a screwdriver or any other metal object to remove fuses because it may cause a short circuit and damage the system.
Instrument Panel Fuse Replacement
- Turn the engine off.
- . Turn all other switches OFF.
- Open the fuse panel cover.
- Refer to the label on the inside of the fuse panel cover to locate the suspected fuse location.
- Pull the suspected fuse straight out. Use the removal tool provided in the engine compartment fuse panel.
- Check the removed fuse; replace it if it is blown. Spare fuses are provided in the instrument panel fuse panels (or in the engine compartment fuse panel).
- Push in a new fuse of the same rating, and make sure it fits tightly in the clips. If it fits loosely, consult an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
In an emergency, if you do not have a spare fuse, use a fuse of the same rating from a circuit you may not need for operating the vehicle. If the headlamps or other electrical components do not work and the fuses are undamaged, check the fuse panel in the engine compartment. If a fuse is blown, it must be replaced with the same rating.
Fuse switch
Always, place the fuse switch in the ON position. If you move the switch to the OFF position, some items such as the audio system and digital clock must be reset and the smart key may not work properly.
Information
If the fuse switch is OFF, the above message will appear.
NOTICE
- Always place the fuse switch in the ON position while driving the vehicle.
- Do not move the fuse switch repeatedly. The fuse switch may be damaged.
Engine Compartment Panel Fuse Replacement
- Turn the engine off.
- Turn all other switches OFF.
- Remove the fuse panel cover by pressing the tab and pulling up.
- Check the removed fuse; replace it if it is blown. To remove or insert the fuse, use the fuse puller in the engine compartment fuse panel.
- Push in a new fuse of the same rating, and make sure it fits tightly in the clips. If it fits loosely, consult an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
CAUTION
After checking the fuse box in the engine compartment secure-ly close the fuse box cover inside the engine compartment, until it clicks.
If the fuse box is not closed properly, water may leak inside, possibly causing a malfunction with the electrical system.
Main fuse
If the main fuse is blown, it must be removed as follows:
- Turn off the engine.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the fuse panel cover by pressing the tab and pulling it up.
- Remove the nuts shown in the picture above.
- Replace the fuse with a new one of the same rating.
- Reinstall in the reverse order of removal.
Information
If the main fuse is blown, consult an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
Multi fuse
If the multi fuse is blown, it must be removed as follows:
- Turn off the engine.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the fuse panel cover by pressing the tab and pulling it up.
- Remove the nuts shown in the picture above.
- Replace the fuse with a new one of the same rating.
- Reinstall in the reverse order of removal.
Information
If the multi fuse is blown, consult an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

FAQs
Fuses guard against overloads by cutting the circuit when an excessive amount of current flows through it.
There will be an obvious break in the metal strip inside the fuse. A multimeter can also be used to verify continuity.
No, in order to protect the electrical system from harm, it’s crucial to replace fuses with the same amp rating.
A fuse puller or needle nose pliers, along with the suitable substitute fuse.
Insert the fuse puller’s jaws around the fuse, give it a light squeeze, and pull the fuse out straight.
No, always use the same amp rating and type of fuse as the original.
The term “AMP” refers to amperage, which expresses the highest current that a fuse is capable of handling.
Depending on how the blown fuse operates. Some are vital, and it might not be a good idea to drive.
A short circuit or malfunctioning component could be the root of the problem.
Check the fuses on a regular basis, particularly if you are having electrical problems.
Although some cars have spare fuses, it’s a good idea to carry extra fuses in your car with different amperages.
No, a fuse is either blown or still in place. A partial state does not exist.
Common locations to buy replacement fuses are auto parts stores, hardware stores, and car dealerships.
