Fuse Diagrams: 2024 Infiniti QX80 Fuse Box and Relay Guide
The 2024 Infiniti QX80’s fuse box and relay system are very important parts that make sure the car’s electrical connections work right and are safe. The fuse box is where all the electrical power is distributed. It has many fuses and switches, and each one’s job is to protect different parts from electrical surges and problems. This complicated technology not only makes the car more reliable, but it also makes it safer and better at what it does overall. The 2024 Infiniti QX80’s fuse box and relay system show how committed Infiniti is to innovation and greatness. They are carefully engineered and built into the vehicle’s design, adding to the car’s reputation for providing a smooth and reliable driving experience.

FUSES
ENGINE COMPARTMENT
WARNING
Never use a fuse of a higher or lower amperage rating than that specified on the fuse box cover. This could damage the electrical system or electronic control units or cause a fire.
If any electrical equipment does not operate, check for an open fuse.
- Be sure the ignition switch is pushed to the OFF or LOCK position and the headlights are off. (See “Headlight switch” or “Auto light system”).
- Open the engine hood and remove the cover on the battery.
- Remove the fuse/fusible link holder cover 1, 2, 3 or 4.
- Remove the fuse with the fuse puller.
- If the fuse is open A, replace it with a new fuse B. Spare fuses are stored in the passenger compartment fuse box.
- If a new fuse also opens, have the electrical system checked and repaired. It is recommended you visit an INFINITI retailer for this service.
Fusible links
If any electrical equipment does not operate and fuses are in good condition, check the fusible links. If any of these fusible links are melted, replace only with genuine INFINITI parts.
PASSENGER COMPARTMENT
- Open the fuse box lid.
- Remove the fuse with the fuse puller A.
- If the fuse is open, replace it with a new fuse.
- If a new fuse also opens, have the electrical system checked and repaired. It is recommended you visit an INFINITI retailer for this service. Spare fuses are stored in the fuse box.
Extended storage fuse switch (if so equipped)
To reduce battery drain, the extended storage fuse switch comes from the factory switched off. Prior to delivery of your vehicle, the switch is pushed in (switched on) and should always remain on.
If the extended storage fuse switch is not pushed in (switched on), the “Shipping Mode On, Push Storage Fuse” warning may appear on the vehicle information display. See “Vehicle information display”.
If any electrical equipment does not operate, remove the extended storage fuse switch and check for an open fuse.
NOTE
If the extended storage fuse switch malfunctions or if the fuse is open, it is not necessary to replace the switch. In this case, remove the extended storage fuse switch and replace it with a new fuse of the same rating.
How to remove the extended storage fuse switch:
- To remove the extended storage fuse switch, be sure the ignition switch is in the OFF or LOCK position.
- Be sure the headlights are off. (See “Headlight switch” or “Autolight system”)
- Remove the fuse box cover.
- Pinch the locking tabs 1 found on each side of the storage fuse switch.
- Pull the storage fuse switch straight out from the fuse box 2.
INTELLIGENT KEY BATTERY REPLACEMENT
CAUTION
Be careful not to allow children to swallow the battery and removed parts.
Replace the battery as follows:
- Release the lock knob at the back of the Intelligent Key and remove the mechanical key.
- Insert a small screwdriver into the slit of the corner and twist it to separate the upper part from the lower part. Use a cloth to protect the casing.
- Replace the battery with a new one.
Recommended battery: CR2025 or equivalent.- Do not touch the internal circuit and electric terminals as it could cause a malfunction.
- Hold the battery by the edges. Holding the battery across the contact points will seriously deplete the storage capacity.
- Make sure that the + side faces the bottom of the case.
- Align the tips of the upper and lower parts 1, and then push them together until it is securely closed 2.
- Push the buttons two or three times to check its operation.
It is recommended you visit an INFINITI retailer if you need any assistance for replacement.
How to Change Fuses of Infiniti QX80
FAQs
Fuses in the QX80 serve to protect the vehicle’s electrical system by interrupting the circuit when a circuit overload or short circuit occurs. This helps prevent damage to electrical components and reduces the risk of electrical fires.
The fuse box in the QX80 is typically located in either the engine compartment or the cabin.
To identify the correct fuse, consult the diagram on the inside of the fuse box. This diagram indicates the purpose and amperage rating of each fuse.
If electrical component malfunctions (e.g., a non-working power window or a blown-out headlight), first identify the issue. Then, check the corresponding fuse to see if it is blown.
To check if a fuse is blown, visually inspect it for a visible break in the metal strip inside or look for discoloration. If it appears damaged, it’s likely blown.
Yes, you can typically replace a blown fuse yourself. Make sure to use a replacement fuse with the same amperage rating and insert it into the appropriate socket.
If the problem persists even after fixing a blown fuse, it may indicate a more complex electrical issue. It’s advisable to seek assistance from an authorized Infiniti service center for further diagnosis and repair.
Yes, it’s a good practice to keep spare fuses of various amperage ratings in your vehicle’s fuse box. This can be helpful in case you encounter a blown fuse while on the road.
When handling fuses, ensure the ignition is off to prevent electrical shock. Always use the correct amperage-rated fuse for replacement and avoid touching metal parts to minimize the risk of electrical accidents.
