2019 Jeep Wrangler Fuses and Fuse Box | Replacing a blown fuse
The 2019 Jeep Wrangler comes with a comprehensive electrical system that powers a variety of features and accessories. To protect these systems, the vehicle is outfitted with a fuse box containing a series of fuses. Fuses are protective devices that interrupt the flow of electrical current in the event of a fault, preventing damage to the connected components. If you notice that a specific function in your Jeep Wrangler is not working, such as lights, power windows, or other electrical features, it’s possible that a fuse in that system has blown. This guide will walk you through the steps of identifying and replacing a blown fuse in your 2019 Jeep Wrangler.
Remember that fuses are critical safety components, and you must replace them with the correct amperage rating. Using a fuse with a higher rating can result in electrical damage or even fire. Following these steps will allow you to efficiently replace a blown fuse in your 2019 Jeep Wrangler and restore functionality to the affected electrical system. If you run into problems or the problem persists after replacing the fuse, it’s best to seek professional help to ensure accurate diagnosis and resolution.

FUSES
WARNING!
- When replacing a blown fuse, always use an appropriate replacement fuse with the same amp rating as the original fuse. Never replace a fuse with another fuse of higher amp rating. Never replace a blown fuse with metal wires or any other material. Failure to use proper fuses may result in serious personal injury, fire and/or property damage.
- Before replacing a fuse, make sure that the ignition i s off and that all the other services are switched off and/or disengaged.
- If the replaced fuse blows again, contact an authorized dealer.
- If a general protection fuse for safety systems (air bag system, braking system), power unit systems (engine system, gearbox system) or steering system blows, contact an authorized dealer.
General Information
The fuses protect electrical systems against excessive current.
When a device does not work, you must check the fuse element inside the blade fuse for a break/melt.
Also, please be aware that when using power outlets for extended periods of time with the engine off may result in vehicle battery discharge.
- Fuse Element
- Blade Fuse with a good/functional fuse element.
- Blade fuse with a NOT functional / BAD fuse element (blown fuse).
Power Distribution Center (PDC)
The Power Distribution Center is located in the engine compartment near the battery. This center contains cartridge fuses, mini fuses, and relays. The PDC top cover is labelled with each serviceable fuse/relay location, function, and size.

CAUTION!
- When installing the power distribution center cover, i t is important to ensure the cover is properly positioned and fully latched. Failure to do so may allow water to get into the power distribution center and possibly result in an electrical system failure.
- When replacing a blown fuse, it is important to us e only a fuse having the correct amperage rating. The us e of a fuse with a rating other than indicated may result in a dangerous electrical system overload. If a properly rated fuse continues to blow, it indicates a problem in the circuit that must be corrected.
JACKING AND TIRE CHANGING
WARNING!
- Do not attempt to change a tire on the side of the vehicle close to moving traffic. Pull far enough off the road to avoid the danger of being hit when operating the jack or changing the wheel.
- Being under a jacked-up vehicle is dangerous. Th e vehicle could slip off the jack and fall on you. You could be crushed. Never put any part of your bod y under a vehicle that is on a jack. If you need toget under a raised vehicle, take it to a service center where it can be raised on a lift.
- Never start or run the engine while the vehicle is on a jack.
- The jack is designed to be used as a tool for changing tires only. The jack should not be used to lift the vehicle for service purposes. The vehicle should be jacked on a firm level surface only. Avoid ice or slippery areas.
