2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Replacing Fuses | Fuse Box Diagram
The fuses and fuse box are a vital part of the electrical system of the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. The fuse box, which is usually located in easily accessible areas such as the engine compartment or the interior cabin, functions as a safety center and holds a variety of fuses intended to protect the car’s electrical components. These fuses are vital in preventing harm from electrical overloads to vital parts such as lights, infotainment systems, hybrid powertrains, and more. The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe’s fuse box is crucial to preserving the vehicle’s dependability and hybrid performance since it must be inspected and maintained on a regular basis to guarantee the smooth running of the electrical systems.

FUSES
General Information
WARNING!
- When replacing a blown fuse, always use an appropriate replacement fuse with the same amp rating as the original fuse. Never replace a fuse with another fuse of higher amp rating. The use of a fuse with a rating other than indicated may result in a dangerous electrical system overload. If a properly rated fuse continues to blow, it indicates a problem in the circuit that must be corrected. Never replace a blown fuse with metal wires or any other material. Do not place a fuse inside a circuit breaker cavity or vice versa. Failure to use proper fuses may result in serious personal injury, fire and/or property damage.
- Before replacing a fuse, make sure that the ignition is off and that all the other services are switched off and/or disengaged.
- If the replaced fuse blows again, contact an authorized dealer.
- If a general protection fuse for safety systems (air bag system, braking system), power unit systems (engine system, transmission system) or steering system blows, contact an authorized dealer.
The fuses protect electrical systems against excessive current. When a device does not work, you must check the fuse element inside the blade fuse for a break/melt. Also, please be aware that using power outlets for extended periods of time with the engine off may result in vehicle battery discharge.
- Fuse Element
- Blade Fuse with a good/functional fuse element
- Blade fuse with a bad/not functional fuse element (blown fuse)
CAUTION!
If it is necessary to wash the engine compartment, take care not to directly hit the fuse box, and the windshield wiper motor with water.
Underhood Fuses
The Power Distribution Center (PDC) is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, behind the headlamp. This center contains cartridge fuses, micro fuses, relays, and circuit breakers. A description of each fuse and component may be stamped on the inside cover, otherwise, the cavity number of each fuse is stamped on the inside cover that corresponds to the following chart.
CAUTION!
When installing the power distribution center cover, it is important to ensure the cover is properly positioned and fully latched. Failure to do so may allow water to get into the power distribution centre and possibly result in an electrical system failure.
NOTE:
Fuses for safety systems must be serviced by an authorized dealer.

FAQs
The fuse box in the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe serves as a protective mechanism for various electrical systems and components in the vehicle.
The fuse box’s location can vary, but it’s typically found in the engine bay or the interior cabin for easy access.
Fuses are designed to interrupt the electrical circuit when it’s exposed to excessive current, thus preventing damage to connected components.
Fuses protect a wide range of components, including lights, the hybrid powertrain, power windows, infotainment systems, and more.
A blown fuse is typically identified by a visibly broken filament or a discolored appearance.
It’s crucial to use the correct amperage fuse to ensure the proper protection of the circuit without overloading or underloading it.
While some vehicles may come with spare fuses, it’s recommended to purchase extra fuses separately and keep them in your vehicle.
Blown fuses can result from electrical faults, short circuits, or overloading due to faulty components.
It’s advisable to inspect your fuses periodically or when you encounter specific electrical issues in your vehicle.
Regular vehicle maintenance and addressing electrical issues promptly can help prevent blown fuses.
Always disconnect the vehicle’s battery before working with the fuse box to ensure safety.
Depending on your preferences, there may be aftermarket options for enhancing the fuse box’s functionality or aesthetics.
While blown fuses primarily affect electrical components, they can indirectly impact other vehicle systems, so timely replacement is recommended.
The 2022 Grand Cherokee 4xe’s fuse box design may include updates or improvements to cater to the hybrid powertrain’s specific needs, ensuring the vehicle’s reliability and hybrid performance.
