KTM 250 EXC TPI 2021

The KTM 250 EXC TPI 2021 is an off-road motorcycle manufactured by KTM, an Austrian motorcycle brand renowned for its off-road expertise. The 250 EXC TPI is part of the EXC lineup, designed specifically for enduro riding and competition. One of the key features of the 2021 model is its advanced fuel injection technology, known as TPI (Transfer Port Injection).

The KTM 250 EXC TPI 2021 is powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, 2-stroke engine with fuel injection. The TPI system precisely injects fuel into the engine’s transfer ports, ensuring optimal combustion and improved throttle response. This technology eliminates the need for a carburetor, resulting in better fuel efficiency, cleaner emissions, and consistent performance at different altitudes and weather conditions.

The motorcycle features a lightweight and sturdy chromoly steel frame, providing excellent handling and durability. It is equipped with high-quality suspension components, including a WP XPLOR front fork and a WP XPLOR PDS (Progressive Damping System) rear shock. These components offer superior damping characteristics, allowing the bike to handle rough terrain and absorb impacts with ease.

Braking performance is taken care of by high-performance Brembo hydraulic disc brakes. The front and rear disc brakes provide reliable stopping power and precise control, ensuring rider safety and confidence in various off-road conditions.

The ergonomics of the KTM 250 EXC TPI 2021 are designed to optimize rider comfort and control. The slim and agile design allows for easy maneuverability through tight trails and obstacles. The seat is designed for long-distance comfort, and the handlebars are positioned for optimal control and leverage.

As an enduro motorcycle, the KTM 250 EXC TPI 2021 comes equipped with off-road-specific features. These include a skid plate to protect the engine and frame from rocks and debris, handguards to shield the rider’s hands from branches and obstacles, and a larger capacity fuel tank for extended range during longer rides.

It’s worth noting that the specifications and features may vary depending on the region or country. Therefore, it is always recommended to consult the official documentation or reach out to KTM or their authorized dealers for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding the KTM 250 EXC TPI 2021 model.

Compression damping of the shock absorber

The compression damping of the shock absorber is divided into two ranges: high-speed and low-speed. High-speed and low-speed refer to the compression speed of the rear wheel suspension and not to the vehicle speed. The high-speed compression adjuster has an effect, for example, when landing after a jump: the rear wheel suspension compresses quickly. The low-speed compression adjuster has an effect, for example, when riding over long ground swells: the rear wheel suspension compresses slowly. These two ranges can be adjusted separately, although the transition between high-speed and low-speed is gradual. Thus, modifications in the high-speed range affect the compression damping in the low-speed range and vice versa.

If a thread locker (e.g., Precote®) has already been applied to a new part, do not apply any additional thread locker. After disassembly, clean the parts that are to be reused and check them for damage and wear. Change damaged or worn parts. After completing a repair or service work, check the operating safety of the vehicle.
