Seat Leon 2022-2023 User Manual

The Seat Leon is a small car made by Seat, which is a Spanish company that is part of the Volkswagen Group. The 2021 model of the Seat Leon is the most current one that I know of as of September 2021. Since it came out in 1998, the Seat Leon has been a popular choice in the small car market. It is known for having a sporty look, performing well, and having different engine options to fit different tastes. The Leon is part of the VW Group’s flexible MQB platform family, which it shares with the Volkswagen Golf. The Seat Leon usually has a mix of current styling and high-tech features when it comes to its design and features. The cabin is comfortable and designed with the driver in mind. It has easy-to-use controls and plenty of room for passengers. Depending on the trim level and extras you choose, the Leon can come with a variety of tech features like touchscreen infotainment systems, smartphone integration, advanced safety systems, and more.

Safety equipment
Never put your safety or the safety of your passengers in danger. In the event of an accident, the safety equipment may reduce the risk of injury. The following points cover part of the safety equipment in your SEAT1):

  • three-point seat belts,
  • belt tension limiters for the front and rear side seats,
  • belt tensioners for the front and rear side seats,
  • front airbags,
  • knee and central driver airbags
  • side airbags in the front seat backrests,

  • head-protection airbags,

The safety equipment mentioned above works together to provide you and your passengers with the best possible protection in the event of an accident. However, these safety systems can only be effective if you and your passengers are sitting in the correct position and use this equipment properly.

The correct sitting position of vehicle occupants

The correct sitting positions for the driver and passengers are shown below.
If your physical constitution prevents you from maintaining the correct sitting position, contact a specialized workshop for help with any special devices. The seat belt and airbag can only provide optimum protection if a correct sitting position is adopted. SEAT recommends taking your car in for technical service.
For your own safety and to reduce the risk of injury in the event of an accident or sudden braking or maneuver, SEAT recommends the following positions:

Valid for all vehicle occupants:

  • Adjust the headrest so that its upper edge is at the same level as the top of your head, or » as close as possible to the same level as the top of your head and under no circumstances below eye level. Keep the back of your neck as close as possible to the headrest ››› Fig. 8.
  • Short people must lower the headrest completely, even if your head is below its upper edge.
  • Tall people must raise the headrest completely.
  • Always keep your feet in the footwell while the vehicle is in motion.
  • Adjust and fasten your seat belt correctly ››› page 21.

The following also applies to the driver:

  • Move the seat backrest to an almost upright position so that your back rests completely against it.
  • Move the steering wheel so it is at least 25 cm (10 inches) away from the sternum ››› Fig. 7 and you can hold it with both hands on both sides, on the outer part, with your arms slightly bent.
