How to Replace Fuse in 2020 Nissan Kicks

  1. Locate the Fuse Box: The fuse box in the Nissan Kicks is typically located under the dashboard on the driver’s side. It may also have a secondary fuse box under the hood, usually near the battery.

  2. Identify the Fuse: Once you locate the fuse box, open the cover. Inside, you’ll find a diagram that shows the layout of the fuses and their corresponding functions. Use this diagram to identify the fuse that needs to be replaced.

  3. Prepare: Before removing the fuse, make sure the car’s ignition is turned off to avoid any electrical mishaps. You may also want to use gloves or insulated tools for safety.

  4. Remove the Fuse: Using a fuse puller tool or a pair of needle-nose pliers, carefully grasp the fuse that needs to be replaced and pull it straight out of its slot. Be gentle to avoid damaging the fuse or the fuse box.

  5. Inspect the Fuse: Examine the fuse to determine if it’s blown. A blown fuse will have a broken filament or a darkened appearance. If the fuse appears intact, it may not be the cause of the issue you’re experiencing.

  6. Replace the Fuse: If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new one of the same amperage rating. Make sure to insert the new fuse securely into the slot.

  7. Close the Fuse Box: Once the new fuse is in place, close the fuse box cover securely.

  8. Test: After replacing the fuse, turn the ignition back on and test the component that wasn’t working to see if the issue has been resolved.

  9. Dispose of the Old Fuse: If the old fuse is blown, dispose of it properly. Do not attempt to reuse a blown fuse as it could lead to further electrical problems.
