The Nissan Versa Sedan is a subcompact car that offers a comfortable and affordable option for daily commuting. The 2019 Nissan Versa Sedan was introduced as the latest iteration of this practical vehicle. Here’s an overview of the Versa Sedan for the 2019 model year:

Exterior: The 2019 Versa Sedan features a compact and aerodynamic exterior design. It has a clean and sleek profile with simple yet stylish lines. The sedan body style provides ample space for passengers and a spacious trunk for cargo.

Powertrain: The 2019 Versa Sedan typically comes equipped with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, delivering around 109 horsepower. This engine is paired with either a five-speed manual transmission or an available continuously variable transmission (CVT). The CVT option helps optimize fuel efficiency and provides smooth acceleration.

It can accommodate up to five passengers, and the rear seats can be folded down to create additional cargo space. The interior design focuses on practicality and functionality, with available features such as a touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity, USB ports, and available driver-assistance technologies.

Safety and Technology: The 2019 Versa Sedan often comes equipped with basic safety features, including front and side-impact airbags, stability control, and traction control. Higher trim levels may offer additional safety features such as rearview cameras and available driver-assistance technologies. The availability of these features may vary depending on the trim level and options selected.

Fuel Efficiency: The 2019 Versa Sedan is designed to be fuel-efficient, making it an economical choice for daily commuting. The exact fuel efficiency ratings may vary depending on the specific trim level, transmission, and driving conditions.

The 2019 Nissan Versa Sedan offers a practical and affordable option for those seeking a compact car. To obtain more specific information about the features, specifications, and available options of the 2019 Versa Sedan, I recommend visiting the official Nissan website or contacting a local Nissan dealership. They will have the most up-to-date and accurate details about the vehicle.

VARIABLE VOLTAGE CONTROL SYSTEM

(if so equipped)

CAUTION

  • Do not ground accessories directly to the battery terminal. Doing so will bypass the variable voltage control system and the vehicle battery may not charge completely.
  • Use electrical accessories with the engine running to avoid discharging the vehicle battery.
Your vehicle is equipped with a variable voltage control system. This system measures the amount of electrical discharge from the battery and controls the voltage generated by the generator. The current sensor A is located near the battery along the negative battery cable. If you add electrical accessories to your vehicle, be sure to ground them to a suitable body ground such as the frame or engine block area.

DRIVE BELT

  1. Water pump pulley
  2. Generator pulley
  3. Manual tensioner pulley
  4. Air conditioner compressor pulley
  5. Crankshaft pulley

WARNING
Be sure the ignition switch is placed in the OFF or LOCK position before servicing the drive belt. The engine could rotate unexpectedly.

  1. Visually inspect the belt for signs of un-usual wear, cuts, or fraying. If the belt is in poor condition, has it been replaced or adjusted? It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.
  2. Have the belt checked regularly for condition.

SPARK PLUGS
REPLACING SPARK PLUGS
Platinum-tipped spark plugs
It is not necessary to replace platinum-tipped A spark plugs as frequently as conventional type spark plugs because they last much longer. Follow the maintenance log shown in the “Maintenance and schedules” section of this manual. Do not service platinum-tipped spark plugs by cleaning or recapping.
Always replace spark plugs with recommended or equivalent ones.

WARNING
Be sure the engine and ignition switch are off and that the parking brake is engaged securely.

CAUTION
Be sure to use the correct socket to remove the spark plugs. An incorrect socket can damage the spark plugs.
If replacement is required, it is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.

AIR CLEANER

WARNING

  • Operating the engine with the air cleaner filter off can cause you or others to be burned. The air cleaner filter not only cleans the intake air, it also stops the flame if the engine backfires. If
  • the air cleaner is not installed and the engine backfires, you could be burned. Never drive with the air cleaner filter off. Be cautious working on the engine when the air cleaner is off.
  • Never pour fuel into the throttle body or attempt to start the engine with the air cleaner removed. Doing so could result in serious injury.

To remove the filter from the air cleaner,
release the retaining clips A, then release the holders at the back of the unit. Pull the
unit upward B.
The viscous paper-type filter element (if so equipped) should not be cleaned and reused. The dry paper type filter element (if so equipped) may be cleaned and reused. Re-place the air filter according to the maintenance log shown in the “Maintenance and schedules” section of this manual.
When replacing the air filter, wipe the inside of the air cleaner housing and cover it with a damp cloth.

NOTE:
After installing a new air cleaner filter, make sure the air cleaner cover is seated in the housing and latch clips A .

WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADE

S CLEANING
If your windshield is not clear after using the windshield–washer or if a wiper blade chatters when running, wax or other material may be on the blade or windshield.
Clean the outside of the windshield with a washer fluid or a mild detergent. Your windshield is clean if beads do not form when rinsing with clear water.
Clean each blade by wiping it with a cloth soaked in a washer fluid or a mild detergent. Then rinse the blades with clear water. If your windshield is still not clear after cleaning the blades and using the wiper, install new windshield wiper blades.

REPLACING
Replace the wiper blades if they are worn.

  1. Lift the wiper arm away from the windshield.
  2. Push and hold the release tab A, and then move the wiper blade down B the wiper arm to remove.
  3. Remove the wiper blade.
  4. Insert the new wiper blade onto the wiper arm until it clicks into place.

CAUTION

  • After the wiper blade replacement, return the wiper arm to its original position; otherwise, it may be damaged when the hood is opened.
  • Make sure the wiper blades contact the glass; otherwise the arms may be damaged from wind pressure.

Be careful not to let anything get into the washer nozzle D. This may cause clogging or improper windshield–washer operation. If something gets into the nozzle, remove it
with a needle or small pin C.

BRAKES
If the brakes do not operate properly, have the brakes checked? It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.
Self-adjusting brakes
Your vehicle is equipped with self-adjusting brakes.
The front disc-type brakes self-adjust every time the brake pedal is applied. The rear drum-type brakes self-adjust every time the parking brake is applied.

WARNING
Have your brake system checked if the brake pedal height does not return to normal. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.

Brake pad wear indicators
The disc brake pads on your vehicle have audible wear indicators. When a brake pad requires replacement, a high-pitched scraping or screeching sound will be heard when the vehicle is in motion. The noise will be heard whether or not the brake pedal is depressed. Have the brakes checked as soon as possible if the wear indicator sound is heard?

Under some driving or climate conditions, occasional brake squeak, squeal or other noise may be heard. Occasional brake noise during light to moderate stops is normal and does not affect the function or performance of the brake system.
Proper brake inspection intervals should be followed. For additional information, regarding brake inspections, refer to the appropriate maintenance schedule information in the “Maintenance and schedules” section of this manual.

  4. Remove the fuse with the fuse puller B.
  5. If the fuse is open C, replace it with an equivalent good fuse D.
  6. Push the fuse box cover to install.
If a new fuse also opens, have the electrical system checked and repaired. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.
    NOTE:
Your vehicle may not be equipped with all fuses listed on the fuse label.
