- Undo the clips. For the method to undo the clips, refer to “Type C clips”
- Remove the covers.
- Remove the upper and lower screws.
- Slide the rear combination light assembly straight rearward and remove it from the vehicle.
Rear turn signal light- Rear side marker light
- Remove the bulb holder from the rear combination light assembly by turning it counterclockwise.
- Pull the bulb out of the bulb holder and replace it with a new one.
- Set the bulb holder into the rear combination light assembly and turn it clockwise until it locks.
- Reinstall the rear combination light assembly by sliding the two-pronged part of the combination light assembly securely to each holder of the vehicle side.
- Tighten the upper and lower screws.
- Reinstall the side cover.
Backup Light
NOTE
It may be difficult to replace the bulbs. We recommend that you have the bulbs replaced by your SUBARU dealer if necessary.
- Cover the tip of a flat-head screwdriver
with vinyl tape or cloth so that it will not
scratch. Apply a flat-head screwdriver
to the light cover as shown in the
illustration, and pry the light cover off
from the rear gate trim.
- Pull the bulb out of the bulb socket and replace it with a new one.
- Install the bulb socket by turning it clockwise.
- Install the light cover on the rear gate.
License Plate Light
License plate light must be pushed outwards, then pulled out to be removed.- Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise and pull out the socket.
- Pull the bulb out of the socket.
- Install a new bulb.
- Reinstall the bulb socket and the license plate light cover
Other Bulbs
