For the purpose of explanation, the following illustration dis-plays all warning lights and indicators illuminated.
The units used on the meters and some indicators may differ depending on the target region.
Warning lights
Warning lights inform the driver of malfunctions in the indicated vehi-cle’s systems.
- These lights turn on when the engine switch is turned to the “ON” position (vehicles without a smart key system) or IGNITION ON mode (vehicles with a smart key system) to indicate that a system check is being per-formed. They will turn off after the engine is started, or after a few seconds. There may be a malfunction in a system if a light does not come on, or if the lights do not turn off. Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer.

Eco Driving Indicator Light
During Eco-Friendly acceleration (Eco driving), Eco Driving Indicator Light will turn on. When the acceleration exceeds Zone of Eco driving, and when the vehicle is stopped, the light turns off. Eco Driving Indicator Light availability can be customized. The default setting is on.
Eco Driving Indicator Light will not operate in the following conditions:
- The shift lever is in anything other than D.
- The vehicle is being driven in “SPORT” mode
- The vehicle speed is approximately 80 mph (130 km/h) or higher.
WARNING
If a safety system warning light does not come on
Should a safety system light such as ABS and SRS airbag warning light not come on when you start the engine, this could mean that these systems are not available to help protect you in an accident, which could result in death or serious injury. Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer.
Gauges and meters
The units used on the speedometer may differ depending on the tar-get region.
- Tachometer
Displays the engine speed in revolutions per minute. - Multi-information display

- In the following situations, the correct outside temperature may not be dis-played, or the display may take longer than normal to change.
- When stopped, or driving at low speeds (less than 16 mph [25 km/h])
- When the outside temperature has changed suddenly (at the entrance/exit of a garage, tunnel, etc.)
- If “” is displayed continuously, the system may be malfunctioning. Take your vehicle to your Toyota dealer.
Adjusting the clock
The clocks can be adjusted on the audio system screen. Refer to “MULTIMEDIA OWNER’S MANUAL”.
NOTICE
- To prevent damage to the engine and its components
- Do not let the indicator needle of the tachometer enter the red zone, which indicates the maximum engine speed.
- The engine may be overheating if the engine coolant temperature gauge enters the red zone (“H”). In this case, immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place, and check the engine after it has cooled completely.
