Volkswagen ID.3 2021-2023 User Manual

The Volkswagen ID.3 is a small car that came out in 2019 and is powered by electricity. It shows Volkswagen’s dedication to electric transportation and is part of their ID lineup, which focuses on electric vehicles (EVs) built on the modular MEB platform. The ID.3 was first released in limited versions like the ID.3 1st and ID.3 1st Plus in 2020, with deliveries starting in late 2020 or early 2021. The ID.3 is a mix of usefulness, range, and high-tech features. When it comes to range, the ID.3 has different battery options that give it different ranges based on how it is set up. Based on the WLTP testing cycle, the range of the base model is usually between 160 and 180 miles, or 260 to 290 kilometers. Higher-end models with bigger battery packs can get up to 550 to 580 kilometers (340 to 360 miles) on a single charge. The ID.3 has a modern, simple design, and the inside is big enough for people to feel comfortable. It has high-tech features like a big touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and different ways to connect. It also has driver help systems and safety features that make it easier to drive and keep the people inside safer.

About this owner’s manual
This owner’s manual is valid for all model types and versions of your Volkswagen. The owner’s manual describes all equipment and models without indicating whether the equipment is optional or specific to the model type. This means that your vehicle may not have some of the equipment described, or it may only be available in certain markets. The scope of equipment fitted in your vehicle can be found in the sales documentation and you can contact your Volkswagen dealership for further information. A passenger car is described in this owner’s manual.
Depending on the market-specific vehicle approval, the model version may also be a light commercial vehicle.
All data in this owner’s manual correspond to the information available at the time of going to print. Because the vehicle is constantly being developed and further improved, there may be differences between your vehicle and the data in this owner’s manual. No discrepancy in data, illustrations or descriptions shall form the basis for any legal claim.
Please ensure that the complete vehicle wallet is always in the vehicle if you lend or sell the vehicle to someone else.

For details on indicator lamps that light up in the light switch, see Chapter “Lights” (→ Dipped beam).

WARNING:
Failure to observe illuminated warning lamps and text messages can lead to your vehicle breaking down in traffic, and can cause accidents and serious injury.

  1. Never ignore any illuminated warning lamps or text messages.
  2. Stop the vehicle as soon as possible and when safe to do so.

Introduction to the topic
When you activate the vehicle’s drive system after the 12-volt vehicle battery has been totally discharged or replaced, system settings (e.g. personal convenience settings and programming) may have been changed or deleted. Check and correct the settings as necessary once the 12-volt vehicle battery has been sufficiently charged.

WARNING:
Accidents and injuries can occur if the driver is distracted.

  1. Never operate the instrument cluster while the vehicle is in motion.
  2. Any settings for the instrument cluster display and displays in the Infotainment system should be made only when the vehicle is stationary in order to reduce the risk of accidents and serious injuries.
